Constituents: Essential oils, Bitter, Flavonoids, Alkaloids, Tannin, Sesquiterpene lactones, Resin. Minerals: potassium, calcium, magnesium, and iodine.
Actions: Bitter tonic, Contraceptive, Diuretic, Anti-haemorrhagic, Diaphoretic, Galactagogue, Expectorant, Antibiotic, Antibacterial, Emetic, Emmenagogue, Haemostat, Intoxicant, Respiratory.
Indications:
Cancer, common cold, depurative, eruptive/remittent fevers, gall stones, hepatitis, jaundice, hysteria, inflammation, Liver and Spleen ailments, digestive problems by stimulating saliva and digestive juices, heartburn, chronic bronchitis, exhaustion.
Strengthens heart and lungs, takes oxygen to the brain.
BHP specific, for poor appetite associated with depression, dyspepsia and flatulent colic.
Herbal extract: 20-40mL per week.
Energetics: Bitter, pungent, astringent, cooling and drying. Dosha: PK- V+.
