Corydalis, Corydalis ambigua
Parts used: Root and Rhizome.
Constituents: Alkaloids, tetrahydropalmatine.
Actions: Analgesic, Sedative, Hypnotic, Anti-arrhythmic, Cardioprotective, Bitter tonic, Anti-inflammatory.
Indications:
Dysmenorrhoea, Insomnia, alleviate all types of pain, including nerve, menstrual, abdominal, hernia, abdominal pain after childbirth, headache.
HBP, Heart arrhythmia, invigorates the blood, move Qi, myocardial ischaemia, blood stasis and dysmenorrhoea.
Intestinal ulcers or chronic inflammation of the stomach lining, Peptic ulcer.
Herbal extract: 20-60mL per week, 70-140mL for an analgesic effect.
Energetics: Warm, bitter, slightly acrid.
Contraindications: Pregnancy, breastfeeding.
