Constituents: Volatile oils, Cyanogenic glycosides, Mucilage, fixed oil; Linolein, Linoleic acid.
Actions: Laxative, Demulcent, Antitussive, Nutrient, Emollient, Anodyne, Anti-inflammatory.
Indications:
Chronic constipation, pharyngitis, gastritis.
Inflamed mucosa, respiratory catarrh, bronchitis, coughs.
Contains essential fatty acids, Ω3 and Ω6.
Externally: burns, bronchitis, boils.
Inflamed mucosa.
Decreases oestrogens and increases Progesterone.
Energetics: Sweet, astringent, heating? or neutral.
Contraindications: None.
Crushed seeds 3-6g 3x daily + a glass of water.
