Tylophora, Tylophora indica
Parts used: Leaves, root.
Constituents: Alkaloid tylophorine.
Actions: Emetic, Expectorant, Anti-allergic, Anti-inflammatory, Relaxant.
Indications:
Only use if no success with other herbs.
Auto immune diseases, suppresses immune system MS.
Asthma, bronchitis, hay fever, lupus, diarrhoea.
Allergies to peanuts, strawberries etc. skin transplants and grafts.
Rheumatoid arthritis.
Smooth muscle, severe period pain.
Herbal extract: 10-20mL per week.
Energetics: Sweet, cooling.
Contraindications: Very toxic, can cause nausea and vomiting, soreness of the mouth, and loss of taste for salt.
Fluid extract, 15mL + 10mL Liquorice 1mL 2 x day for 7 days/month after food.
Review after 3 months can use Echinacea or Rehmania for the other 3 weeks.
