Wild Carrot, Daucus carota
Parts used: Seeds, leaves and root.
Constituents: Volatile oil, Flavonoids, Alkaloids, Petroselenic acid, Beta-carotene (in root).
Vitamins: A, C, B1, 2, 3, 6, 9.
Minerals: calcium, potassium, phosphorus, CoQ10.
Actions: Diuretic, Urinary Antiseptic, Antilithic, Carminative, Alterative, Emmenagogue, Anthelmintic, Stimulant.
Indications:
Urinary gravel or Kidney stones (with Gravel root), cystitis.
Prostatitis (with incontinence), urinary tract infection, oedema, gout, rheumatism, high blood pressure.
Flatulence, colic.
Skin problems, eczema, pruritis.
Amenorrhoea.
Intestinal worms.
Increases white blood cells.
BHP Specific: Urinary gravel or calculus.
Herbal extract: 30-60mL per week.
Energetics: neutral, sweet, pungent. Dosha: KV- P+.
